What happens when you drink only water for 30 days

The average adult human body is 50-65% water, so it’s safe to say that our body is actually fueled by water like a vehicle is by gas. But while you can leave a car without gas, you absolutely can’t deprive the human body of water, without facing some serious consequences.

Each molecule, tissue, and cell inside our body is, in fact, dependent on the water that we drink in order to function optimally. And like any other natural ingredient, water has its positive benefits, or health effects, if it’s consumed in the right amounts.

According to a study, drinking only water for 30 days enhances the information processing that takes place in the brain, thus, making it much faster than it would be in normal circumstances. This mostly happens because the brain requires a lot of oxygen and obviously, the more water you drink, the more oxygen your brain will receive.

2. You’ll age more slowly than your non-water drinking peers

Everybody hates aging, especially the wrinkles that start to form along the way. But did you know that this process happens because our skin loses most of its moisture? That’s why drinking water helps decelerate the aging process. By keeping your skin hydrated, it becomes more soft and healthy.

3. Your immune system will be stronger

You might have heard, at least once in your lifetime, somebody saying that “water is medicine”. And they weren’t wrong at all. There’s even a Slovakian Proverb that says: “Pure water is the world’s first and foremost medicine.”

Water decreases the chances of a heart attack by preventing your blood from thickening, and by lowering your blood pressure.  American Journal of Epidemiology published a six-year study that found that people who drank more than five glasses of water a day were 41% less likely to die from a heart attack than the ones who drank less than two glasses a day.

As for the bones, the natural beverage helps rebuild shock absorber cartilage, making the joints more flexible and working smoothly.

5. Your metabolism will be enhanced

Consistently drinking water on a daily basis, stimulates a more dynamic metabolism, regardless of your diet. So you can actually lose weight by drinking water.  And that’s mainly because your body removes harmful toxins and waste products from your vital organs, cleansing your body, which in the long run, will help you lose that belly fat.

Even though in the beginning, an increase in weight might take place, there’s no reason for concern, as the body is retaining water before adjusting to the higher intake consumption.
